Most Employees Are Not Lazy, Just Not Led

Most Employees Are Not Lazy, Just Not Led  by Mark Griffin
Nehemiah 6:9They were all trying to frighten us, thinking, “Their hands will get too weak for the work, and it will not be completed.” Have you heard leaders exclaim that the workers of today are just plain lazy; that they are not motivated and have no idea how to put in a day’s work? It is a common complaint heard over and over; some training firms even offer seminars on the topic! We must disagree that all workers are this way. We live in a society that is devoid of leadership, that is incapable and oftentimes unwilling to lead employees to excellence.

whoever said History was boring

Interesting History
They used to use urine to tan animal skins, so families
used to all pee in a pot & then once a day it was taken &
Sold to the tannery.......if you had to do this to survive
 you were "Piss Poor"

But worse than that were the really poor folk who couldn't
even afford to buy a pot......they "didn't have a pot to
piss in" & were the lowest of the low

The next time you are washing your hands and complain

What Is Included in a Background Check?

What Is Included in a Background Check?

Background reports can range from a verification of an applicant's Social Security number to a detailed account of the potential employee's history and acquaintances. There is even some evidence that employers are now searching popular social networking Web sites such as MySpace and Facebook for the profiles of applicants. An October 2007 survey from Vault.com found that 44% of employers use social networking sites to obtain information about job applicants while 39% have searched such sites for information about current employees.

1. Why Does an Employer Conduct a Background Check?
Employers check potential and current workers for several reasons. The things an employer wants to know about you can vary with the kinds of jobs you might seek. Here are a few of the reasons for employment screening.
  • Negligent hiringlawsuits are on the rise. If an employee's actions hurt someone, the employer may be liable. The threat of liability gives employers reason to be cautious in checking an applicant's past. A bad decision can wreak havoc on a company's budget and reputation as well as ruin the career of the hiring official.

SuperBowl History, NFL and The Super Bowl!

SuperBowl History, NFL and The Super Bowl!

Surprisingly, given the importance of the game, Superbowl history is rather brief: the first Superbowl championship was held in 1967.
Bowl games are nothing new in football, but the Super Bowl elevated the practice to an American sports tradition. It all started as a way for the champions of the two pigskin leagues of the time, the National Football League (NFL) and the American Football League (AFL), to determine who really was Number One.
Superbowl I, which capped off the 1966 season, took place on January 15, 1967 at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Almost 62,000 fans were in the stadium to see Vince Lombardi's Green Bay Packers teach the Kansas City Chiefs a painful lesson about who was boss, to the tune of 35-10. Millions more watched the super cool new bowl game on TV; and thus a new football tradition was born.
