Most Employees Are Not Lazy, Just Not Led by Mark GriffinNehemiah 6:9They were all trying to frighten us, thinking, “Their hands will get too weak for the work, and it will not be completed.” Have you heard leaders exclaim that the workers of today are just plain lazy; that they are not motivated and have no idea how to put in a day’s work? It is a common complaint heard over and over; some training firms even offer seminars on the topic! We must disagree that all workers are this way. We live in a society that is devoid of leadership, that is incapable and oftentimes unwilling to lead employees to excellence. |

What Is Included in a Background Check? Background reports can range from a verification of an applicant's Social Security number to a detailed account of the potential employee's history and acquaintances. There is even some evidence that employers are now searching popular social networking Web sites such as MySpace and Facebook for the profiles of applicants. An October 2007 survey from Vault.com found that 44% of employers use social networking sites to obtain information about job applicants while 39% have searched such sites for information about current employees. |

SuperBowl History, NFL and The Super Bowl! Surprisingly, given the importance of the game, Superbowl history is rather brief: the first Superbowl championship was held in 1967. Bowl games are nothing new in football, but the Super Bowl elevated the practice to an American sports tradition. It all started as a way for the champions of the two pigskin leagues of the time, the National Football League (NFL) and the American Football League (AFL), to determine who really was Number One. Superbowl I, which capped off the 1966 season, took place on January 15, 1967 at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Almost 62,000 fans were in the stadium to see Vince Lombardi's Green Bay Packers teach the Kansas City Chiefs a painful lesson about who was boss, to the tune of 35-10. Millions more watched the super cool new bowl game on TV; and thus a new football tradition was born.
